Massive DBC book giveaway!

It’s competition time!

On August 30th, I turn thirty. I want to mark the occasion on my blog and take the opportunity to thank all of the teachers who have supported it over the last couple of years. I have been given a wonderful opportunity to do just that.

I often talk about Dave Burgess Consulting, Inc. books because I enjoy them so much and they inspire me, my teaching practice and my writing. The many DBC authors, including husband and wife Dave and Shelley Burgess, are very active on Twitter and always willing to support. Over the years, I have developed lovely friendships with many of them (I’m quoted in Tara Martin’s fantastic book). Above all else, the authors know how to build online communities of educators that are encouraging and supportive.

My positive responses to the books have not gone unnoticed. To thank me for my support, Dave and Shelley have very generously donated thirty of their books to me so that I can, in turn, thank those who have supported me. To celebrate my 30th birthday, the thirty titles are all up for grabs. I’m sure that they will inspire you as much as they inspired me (although I haven’t read them all yet). It’s not completely selfless on my part. In the process, I hope to build my social platforms and connect with more educators.

Without further ado, let’s get the giveaway underway! To enter the draw, follow the easy instructions for Facebook and/or Twitter and then, if successful, I’ll send your chosen book directly to your door. Good luck!

How to enter on Twitter:

1. Follow me on Twitter (if you don’t already).
2. Tweet any blog post from my blog (it could be this one). Mention me in the tweet (@AdamHillEDU) and include #MrHillDBC30 to help me to keep track of entries. You could also add other relevant hashtags and/or mention other teachers who might appreciate the post.

How to enter on Facebook:

1. ‘Like’ my Facebook page (if you haven’t already).
2. Scroll through the page to find a post that interests you. Give it a ‘Like’ and add a comment. Simple! The comment might be an explanation of why the post resonated with you or it could even be in disagreement. As a lazier option, simply tag a few teacher friends who might appreciate it. Any comment will do. I enjoy the discussions and always respond.

Competition details:

• Your name will be entered into the draw each time you tweet/comment. More engagement = more entries!
• There is no limit to how many books you can win. If you’re in the draw multiple times, you could win multiple times.
• Five winners will be selected at random every Wednesday for the next six weeks, starting Wednesday 25th July 2018.
• The entries will not be removed each week. Your entry will stay in the draw until it wins.
• Wednesday winners will be announced on both Twitter and Facebook.
• Each winner will be able to choose their prize from the remaining books. Enter early for first dibs!

I hope that this competition will allow me to expand my PLN and grow my blog, but it’s mainly an opportunity for me to thank those who continue to support and encourage me. It really means the world.
